Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Big talk and no action?

This is a problem for most people in general, and especially here, they complain a lot and do little to escape from this awful company. How many applications have you submitted?
I allowed my manager’s horrible behavior for only one month. The next day I sent applications to all possible open positions for work and tomorrow is my last day here.

Some people have years invested and cannot simply walk away and leave their pension on the table. As soon as I'm able (MR75), I'm getting the he-l out.

It can take a while for older workers to find a new role. For all its faults ATT does have an older than average workforce. Many companies just outright discriminate and refuse to hire older workers.
This site allows anonymous posting so it provides a way to vent and skews negative since ATT does not want direct honest feedback.

Good for you! There’s no reason for anybody to tolerate bad management in a company with misguided direction! The left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing! My friends and family are dropping T services like a bad habit due to poorly informed and incompetent customer service reps. This company used to be so good for a long while...such a shame!

Good for you. Some of us signed on with a certain agreement that we thought the company would honor. I understand that the company now wants disposable employees of which you might be one of. Goodbye and best of luck to you.
