Layoffs I can understand to some extent. The corporate world is cruel. Still, do they even care whom they cut? Any normal company would try to keep the best people when it comes to layoffs, but not this one. It's like this: the better employee you are, the less room there is for you.

All I hear from this forum is criticism of Cenovus. Husky is no different. Management has huge egos and if you are outstanding technically, they will boot you out after they get what they want from you. IMO Husky was worse!
I know of several people who were ranked "Above Expectations" or "Outstanding" and were highly ranked on the "Critical Staff" listings made in December. That seemed to put a target on their back when a new boss came in from the other side - packages were quickly sent their way . . .
Yup... agreed... the sad part is the supervisors that stay after watching their dedicated colleagues leave have swollen heads thinking they are the best of the best. Arrogance will be running more rampant than ever.
Unfortunately we got the worst leaders. They are selfish and care only about themselves. If you are smarter than them you are gone because they feel threatened. Clear examples HR and IT.
