Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Do you help new hires?

I really don’t know if I’m more sorry for those young people who just came here (because they came to this ridiculous company) or if I’m more frustrated when they turn to me for help while I’m super busy (and they get paid more than I do).
These people are not to blame for being paid more than me and I try to help everyone I can, but these situations really frustrate me.

If a new hire is in my area I will try to help them learn the ropes in anyway I can. As said before, training is minimal and we need help the poor newbies as much as we can as management wont do it.
It is not the new hires fault that they ended up here.

Our club is horrible when it comes to training. We will see how it goes with the new mgt. position at the front end. That person is to train the cashiers. Recently one person almost got let go because of attendance. She did not know anything about the point system, let alone using PPTO to cover absences.

New Hires are on the fast track. Little training in our club. All they want is a warm upright body.

Then you go cry to everyone because the new hire won't do things like you want them to.
