Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Focal Point in October Does that mean layoff in September

Where is Halliburton going to come up with the money to pay for focal point? Is Jeffie going to open up his purse strings? The only way I see freeing up money is to reduce headcount and use that bucket to give the remaining leftover employees a Thank you for all you do here is a pity amount for cost of living adjustment. I guy I know went to his boss and told him he had a offer outside to see if his boss would try to keep him. The boss went to HR to see if Halliworld would match the offer and HR said GTFO and don't let the door hit your backside on the way out. He took them up on the offer.

With the industry picking up, I'm sure there will be quite a battle going on between service companies to scalp qualified hands. If this is Halliburton's stance, they stand to lose more employees than they laid off in my opinion. The time has come where they will have to pay the piper to keep doing business.
