What is so good about work from home that people are willing to quit if it doesn't continue? Please, enlighten me. I understand the usual commute, more free time arguments, but is that really enough to make you walk away from a good job just so you wouldn't have to do what you used to do without even thinking about it and considered it normal?

Blissful silence. That's the best thing about working from home. I've never been able to focus as well in the office as I do at home. Some folks thrive in the office, some don't. Smart companies will catch on to that and allow their folks to do work where they work best. Homogenizing people's work habits just isn't smart, wasn't 20 years ago and isn't now.
Verizon moved an office from twenty minutes away to an hour away and many people looked for some people quit right away while others looked for another job and left. No one questioned that and it was less of a change.
While I can understand wanting to work from home, quitting a job because you’re not getting what you want is kinda d-mb. But if that’s what you want to do, go for it. Good Luck with the job search.
Union people can't quit. They are unemployable anywhere else. What employer wants to deal with those divas and their never ending whining. What a nightmare.

Verizon USED TOO be a good job. Now its a job for kids out of high school. Get that part time in kids!
Shhhh... Pretend like you haven't been called out. Act like a completely different person. Maybe they'll forget...
I’m a rep as well, and I agree with the previous comment. My mental health has improved immensely due to not being in a stressful environment. My center could be toxic at times due to gossip, drama, and politics. I’m not sure why there is so much negativity about working from home. If it doesn’t concern you, then what’s the issue?

I’m a rep and my mental and physical health has never been better. Who would give that up?

Obvious troll post since this has literally been answered multiple times. Also, pretending there aren’t good jobs while companies are struggling to retain employees is absurd. Go back under your bridge and bother people who actually care for whatever invalid point you’ll eventually try to make!
