Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Leaving was the best decision for me

I left at the beginning of the year after more than two decades at Verizon. I think by the end I've had developed some sort of Stockholm syndrome that kept me there longer than I should have been. I was really holding on for as long as possible and now I'm blanking out on why. I might earn less now but I am so much happier. Leaving was the best decision I could have made.

Sounds like a life sentence. You got paroled early.

Don’t worry, you’ll be disgusted with your new job in no time, and you’ll have less money. Unless you’re doing something you love, take the cash. Good Luck

What is it that makes it happier? Everyone has fear of the unknown. But it is not ok to self diagnose an illness because it is a reality for other people.
