I wonder if they are reluctant to initiate another round of layoffs due to all the data showing record numbers of people are quitting their jobs?

…since the merger of tech and ops, Hood Qaim-Maqami originally from tech is now India tech-ops section leader. He is doing a great job facilitating the offshoring of American jobs to Pune and Chenai, India
If your team size in India has increased in last year by 2x or 3x, expect layoffs. Wait until they complete training. You may be asked to train them.
Except for break in action during height of the COVID era looks like BAU here at BNYMellom
@2rns,
19 out of how many people?
And the sad thing is that any time that IS saved by automation and process improvements just frees up people to do other things that they should have been doing but didn't have time for.
Sr. Management cascaded new layoff numbers just announced last week to take place in August. My area needs to cut 19 people to show cost savings due to "automation" which never happend. August will see heavy cuts at ALL locations. August will be a bloody one.
@1gqd > Never state you don't want to do something (work-related). Just don't do it but say you're "trying" to live up to the standard but the standard is too high to succeed. Leaves it open to interpretation if you are fired as to whether the firing was justified or not.
Meme, people in Syracuse should realize that they can't force people to commute an extra 50 miles. If an employee can't or doesn't want to extend their commute, they are essentially fired and are eligible for unemployment benefits.
I know a lot of syracuse people are looking to leave, they don’t want the 50 miles commute each way, 3 or 4 days a week.
