You got that right. MR ruined OCI support and RB was his puppet. From what I've seen, it hasn't recovered.
If customers do "trade" support dollars for OCI dollars, then something's gotta be cut.
Which support org? Did something change this past year? Last I knew, support had been dispersed throughout the org with different teamd going to different areas - there was no centralized support org under one head after RS was fired/quit. This is due to MS running the department. He has been cutting staff since day 1 and replacing them with the expensive CSM group.
