Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Mid yr review - raises.

We are having mid-year reviews, meanwhile our raises, as pathetic as they are, have yet to kick in.

Really funny the sheep at this company. Sr. Mgt says something, like a new buzz word, & it’s a race to see how many times people can regurgitate it.

So many employees are such weak lemmings that If Todd told them they need to lose their job for the good of the company they’d believe it. And the brown nosing is getting worse by the day.

Management can send out as many pride, Covid, & diversity emails as they want but bottom line- the atmosphere is terrible- & will be even worse once we are back in the office.

Not to be critical……

I find it interesting that managers are selecting subordinates to give feedback on their reviews. Isn't that blatant quid pro quo? It's as if saying...I've chosen you to give feedback for my midyear, but keep in mind that I review you too and have full power over your rating/raise.

Subordinates giving managers feedback is part of Peakon.

Managers should be required to select peers or a higher up level for midyear feedback. The entire process is a farce. You should have to prove you selected someone who worked on a project with you, not a back scratcher fanboy.

@tyo It sounds like a deliberate attempt of creating and attracting a particular workforce within the organization.A quick observation don't see much enthusiasm in celebrating other days like they just happen to ignore the Father's day or even International Men's health week . The whole senior management is popping up on your emails to celebrate pride month with their inspirational quotes never seen such zeal for other aspirations. It seems like pushing an agenda on the heterosexuals who are not really comfortable who believes in a family unit and evolution of mankind .

They've been doing it for years, @qmk. Plastered all over mysource constantly, not just in June. Not to mention forcing managers to participate in the activities. Seems like our company wants to run for office, not run a financial company.
BTW, you left off a couple letters and a + so you might get attacked by the woke gods.
