Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Why all these managers?

Can someone explain to me from a business point of view, does this company need all these managers? Especially those who really don’t do anything?
I am sure that various problems arise precisely because of the huge number of managers and the long chain of command. Do they intend to finally reduce the number of managers?

Tmobile has been a bad place to work because of the managers. They have no real purpose other than to constantly hound you to sell stuff people don't want and or need. Constantly. They're out of touch with reality and there's zero trust because they're greedy liars. All they care about is numbers and corporate jargon.

I often overheard weekly store manager calls for the district and they would basically just lie to each other for an hour or two. Complete waste. Complete mess. Utterly useless managers.

Why do they need all the directors, sr. Directors, VPs and SVPs? Company has gotten extremely top heavy.

SMRA is a multi-year program. They’re on the hook to deliver market share improvement by 2025.

Never saw so many field managers in all my life. Almost tripping over one another.
DMs with embrassing totals of 6, 7, 8 (other businesses if you're a DM you got 30 stores, pal), field managers everywhere, account managers everywhere, development managers everywhere.......
I've looked at these every which way possible, here's REALLY all they're doing : running report after report after report after report after report.
Accomplishing nothing, way too many conference calls.
Development managers particularly wasteful and non-essential, moving 0 needles.
Can't believe there's any way possible TMO doesn't slash upwards of 70% of them, next year at the very latest. TMO literally throwing gobs and gobs of money away

Well duh. Everyone in this SMRA channel is toast when they abandon it in 12 months.
