This place has a terrible cycle of hiring you when you’re young and then they cut you when you’re older and have been there for 10+ years. I’ve seen this cycle first hand. It continues even today.
If you’re new there, keep your resume updated and one eye on the help wanted section. Good luck making it a career.

I'm commenting late but it's all true ageism is real and companies fire older employees because their insurance premiums cost 3 times that of a 21 year old. Plus they have higher salaries than a 21 year old.
Not true.. The company has a lot of diverse age groups..
This has become the 'American Way!' /s Typically the long-term employees have higher wages and cost more when it comes to health benefits. Those are facts.
When companies reduce headcount, the older workers are the first in line. It's ageism at it's finest. Unfortunately when doing layoffs, they give the layoff lists to their high priced lawyers so they can review and determine that there is enough of each group - old/young, male/female, white/black, etc... so ageism becomes impossible to prove.
