Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Feedback at pepsi

Hello everyone. New here.

My director during my last connect with him told me that I needed to be aware of how I was being perceived. When I asked for a specific example he said I can give you 5 and started going on how I was making others feel. He told me that this was between him and I and it wasn't anything more than wanting to help me with how i am perceived by the others in the office. Is this legit or should i worry?

Sounds like a PLCI director.

So your director is the weakest on the team, and rather then praising your performance is accepting the hits from others. Guessing the director is new, doesn't know the job, and definitely doesn't get the politics. S/he is not defending you when the other Directors are speaking about you and your performance. Instead, your Director is trying to protect him/herself by going along with it. The problem is the other Directors are on offense and pre-gaming mid-year results/discussion for upcoming PDR grading. The PDR score is based on "calibration" where they rank everyone. Your ranking is being setup to be low.

Had a similar conversation with management and the person went so far as to name the people I should not be associated with because they were perceived as immature and unprofessional..pretty bold in mho telling me who to talk to and who not to.

This company is a master at the art of unintelligible communication. These are the same people who smiled at the Period 2 financial results while overworking their Topeka employees to exhaustion resulting in a strike. Then tried to push the blame on the workers. I would trust a rat to guard cheese more than any PepsiCo management representative.

Sounds like you're a campus hire who is going to be given every benefit of the doubt while the rest of us who make 1 mistake are walked out the door. Posts like this speak to the lack of talent PEP is bringing into the organization and it is eerily common.
