The return to the office date should be revised until the Delta variant is under control.

Never stepping foot on an AIG facility again. Will enjoy my afternoon naps at home.

Will employee expenses related to medical bills and sickness be covered for those that contract COVID at work? Some states have passed laws restricting liability? If not…employees should be given option to work from home

Should make getting the vaccine mandatory unless there is a valid medical reason for them not to. Only way for us to put this behind us and go successfully return to the office

Next week announcement will come out that the vaccine is mandatory. Many companies already requiring…Walmart, Disney etc. Sorry…not sorry

No one can force us to get the vaccine. There's millions of us that need to be included as naturally vaccinated. If they don't, we either continue working remote if we can or give us the severance package.

I have me scuba mask and air tank ready to go to being to office. Masks don't work against the delta v (your eyes can absorb it because duh, it's an aerosol virus) and if you don't vax then expect to get it regardless of going back into office.
Given its going to be mainly contractors in IT going forward, and many of those are in India, what's the difference, at least in IT?

I am so terrified about going back. If I am forced to go back, I plan on wearing a full faced helmet, kevlar shirt, pants and a co---m daily. God help us!

100% ready to be replaced by outsourced non-American here!

Just show me where I sign to get my severance package?

I don’t work at AIG anymore (thankfully, I moved off to a FAANG 5 years ago — best decision of my life. Looks like AUG’s toxic culture has continued since I’ve left). I don’t think people realize that if there is no value in us all coming to the office, there’s no reason for AIG (and all other companies) to just hire remote workers in other countries for a fraction of the price of US workers (even more so than they are doing now)….so everyone should be very happy to have your workplace want you to return to the office, or be prepared to be replaced by another remote worker.

working from should be the norm not the exception - regardless if the vaccinated get infected commensurate to the common cold - times are changing and so should the work place - working day to day in the office is just plain silly for most desk jobs (unless you're a mid level manager who is a control freak...)

Once you are vaccinated, there is a low risk that you will have an illness that is beyond a common cold. For people like OP, once the delta variant is under control, they’ll claim arhat they cannot come in until the epsilon variant is under control. We didn’t all WFH to avoid getting colds before, and once your vaccinated, getting COVID is pretty much (at least with current variants) like getting a cold. For many people, it’s time to grow up…

Poor Petey. He tries to be a leader. He just always fails so miserably.

Given the new guidance from the CDC, you will have to see a reversal in the return to the office strategy. Going to an office to wear a mask for 8 to 10 hour a day regardless of vaccination isn't a workable strategy.

Sorry Petey, like most things at AIG, this strategy failed too. Keep trying pal, one day you will make a good decision!

Agree especially for those that sit in Teams meetings all day.
