Stankey is no spring chicken yet he seems to have an aversion to his own age cohort. Why? Is it just that Gen Z is inexpensive to hire and is full of youthful enthusiasm for challenges despite their lack of experience? Does Stankey not see himself as AARP material? Does he fancy himself different from all the other people hitting the early bird special down at Luby's? What's the deal?

Again…weak comments, not arguments, for why ATT attracts college graduates. Bachelor and Masters degreed personnel join ATT for the same reason that they join Salesforce, Redhat, Verizon, etc…for the experience and credentials. They’re not looking for a 10+ year career or even 5 years….or a ‘job’ for life. Their agenda is not like yours. A tough pill to swallow for you and possibly incomprehensible.

Stankey sees himself as invincible, nothing more to say. He has the T CEO job as long as he wants, nothing standing in his way.
You give Stinkface way too much credit, OP. All he sees is dollar signs, and older workers cost more. He doesn't worry about how getting rid of experience, knowledge, insight, understanding, or anything else has a negative impact on business because he doesn't care. He just sees them as an expense that needs cutting so he can get more.
The fact that he is the biggest expense and part of the same group he is culling is just further proof that irony is officially dead.
