I left XOM in January. What does the Houston campus look and feel like these days? Less crowded? Low morale? Anything else?

The Million Dollar Tree's gone.
I'm not liking it much.
The new texan open-carry requirement leaves me a little queasy.
Like - what if that Chik-Fil-A wasn't made the right way.
Texican stand-off for lunch - no thanks!
Pretty empty these days
It is still a sp-t worthy place. Come back and sp-t some more on it.
@jwr+1c46lSKH You on coke or what? XOM doesnt own HL. XOM is a tenant.
Pretty soon we will be able to move our Hughes Landing building employees into the Spring campus and lease or sell the Hughes Landing to another company. The extra cash flow will help pay our quarterly dividend.
It’s easier to take a dump. The stalls are not a nearly as crowded as before the pandemic.
@nka+1c46lSKH has a very good point, OP. If you left, and don’t have any friends back at EM to tell you what it’s like for them, your mental health will benefit from cutting the cord and moving on with your life
The 1500 to 1300 spots is telling. The campus parking was not designed for 100% of occupants but more like 80%. Of course they added the roof of N4 and the surface lot but still means only 7000 to 7500 on campus down from 10700 in 2019.
Much more crowded than January. Not sure why the other commentator is saying it’s less crowded now than when you left in the middle of covid. Morale feels neutral when your just walking around. A little more depressing when you actually stop and talk with peers about the future.
Uncle Rex's oak tree is finally gone (along with a good chunk of the population). Prior to the pandemic, when I'd arrive at the office any time later than about 8:30, I would have a hard time finding a parking spot in the Nature garage, and would often end up parking on the roof floor. Now, there are probably close to 1,300 - 1,500 spots at that time of the morning on any given day. Never have a problem finding a spot.
Far less people, many of the shops are still not open. Generally a very depressed feeling office.
Why does it matter?
