One thing is certain. Those people meet the retirement requirements, so they retire not just leave, quit or resign.

How do you know those people are retiring?
because I don't know them personally, and they are much higher than me in the rank and file.
Why didn’t you just ask them?
Retiring due to age? Or did they become financially independent?
Either way it doesn’t sound like anything negative. What are you concerned about?
