Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

When do we stand up for what’s right?

I see a lot of posts around people mad about having to return to office. What about those of us having do eight times the amount of work because we can’t replace those who are work from home and are being forced to reopen centers with not even close to enough humans to be realistic. When is someone going to finally stand up and say how wrong this is? Can these people seriously be that dull or naïve to not see that both sides are unhappy with the outcome? Let the people who are WFH stay in that role with the pay that aligns to it and give the front line bodies to replace them with realistic timelines for reopening and not being responsible for 3 locations, having 3 people when you should have 8 is unbelievable.

Someone should stage a walk out or strike, someone somewhere has to hear how nuts their plans are.

Even if I were to work in the office, none of the stakeholders or my actual team are located on the same campus.

Posts should indicate which part of the bank they refer to. There's working in a center with customers. Then there are cubicle jobs like computer programmer or statistician that can be performed perfectly well remotely. Your project teams will include people scattered across the country anyway.
