It’s something that I’ve been known to struggle with - leaving my comfort zone. I’ve been putting in applications and going to interviews never believing I’d have a chance in he-l of being offered any position outside of XOM. Well I was actually offered one and it blew me away. I was scared to start over because I’ve been here for a good 15+ years and I was hesitant of stepping out of my comfort zone. But I’m glad I did. I’m not going to say the grass is greener but the title of my post says it all.

I did that a few years ago when things were pretty green in the O&G industry. I had some. hesitations as I was doing very well within EM.
For me, leaving ExxonMobil tuned out to be an awesome decision. Looking back, I cannot believe that I allowed the pathetic culture to make me do useless activities (meetings, buzz words, safety discussions, fake leadership, stewardship everything but real productive work) for so many years. I feel lucky. OP give it sometime to let the brainwashing subside and you will feel great! Good luck.
Congrats. Got my apps out there, waiting for the call.
Congrats! I hope to soon be joining your ranks as an ex-XOMer. Wishing you all the best in your new job.
Congrats! I’ve always said, if you’re comfortable, then you need to get up and move. Stay hungry!
You've just extended your lifespan by at least 5 years.
Congrats!!!!
