Does anybody actually believe that the switch to self-checkout is not going to result in layoffs in the long run? Maybe not at once, but as soon as the system is properly up and running I'm guaranteeing you they're going to start getting rid of people. They won't say that's the reason, of course, but we'll all know it.

With one person up front the green zone is and always has been the entire store
I had to laff while listening to conference call..they said the cashier that stayed behind the counter could come out and work green zone..
Did anyone here have a cashier that stayed behind the counter ???
The reduction in hours occurred when the ACOs were put into the stores. They can say that Green Zone will not effect hours bc that horse left the barn awhile ago and yes, the barn is now empty
why layoffs? when they can keep cutting gours!
