Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Understaffed and extremely tired

They have no intention of doing anything about the chronic shortage of people, do they?
I’m afraid it’s going to get worse here because a lot of people are leaving just because of that. There’s a lot of pressure on them because of the shortage of workforce. We are in a situation where some jobs simply become very difficult to complete because there is a lack of people.

So First Data ran itself into the ground with outdated and inadequate leadership, to the point where Fiserv acquired them. Because they did such a good job and all, oFD leadership has managed to get rid of close to ALL senior Fiserv leadership. Major processes have shifted to the FD way of doing business. Super sad to watch from this long term FS employee.

You deserve to be overworked and tired if you are stupid enough to still be at that God forsaken place

@1jyy+1cBFa0YB Set proper expectation on the timelines, and if you don't have the right man power. Tell them what you need to make the deadline. If the SVP can't understand that you can't get it done with the lack of senior staff on your team or you don't have enough dedicated resources. I would take my severance and move on to another company.

@qgf+1cBFa0YB - they'll make up the difference by hiring in Pune, like they always do. Until the results come out like garbage, like they always do.

The problem is that if you have client facing deadlines, you have to do your job to keep your job. If someone has a way to deflect deadlines and responsibilities and not get fired, let me know.

Those SVP are very smart. They made those quarterly numbers because they got rid of all those senior employees.

Now they just need to figure out how to make the numbers for every quarter after that...

If the company has no intention of fixing the shortage, why are you willing to work 10 hours a day without the compensation for it. The company is getting a free ride because of you. You are basically saying abuse me and my time because i'm not willing to carve out a little of my bonus to make the company and employee's. Worse yet, you don't value your own time enough to tell them 8 hours is what i signed up for and the rest is my personal time.

Something worth thinking about.

Yeah, those d-mb SVP's thought pi----g all of the senior employee's to make them want to leave was a good idea for good quarterly numbers
