Q3 is here and it doesn’t look good. Expect that Aero will yet again emerge with all in the red compared to other SBGs. Final nail in the coffin for MM? Probably. And, with past dues creeping up, MM is sounding desperate for he sees the writing is on the wall when Dairyass shares the results during the upcoming Q3 townhall.
Poor sod never had a chance since Tim M vacated the seat giving the reins from one madman to another.
AERO will soon be packing as the worst performing SBG again.

It has been a week and that email still makes my stomach churn.
Dear CEO... please hold your people accountable for inappropriate communication.

Anything that generates the opposite feelings from intended like that communication is certainly misguided, insensitive, and probably inappropriate. More coaching is needed for MM. Maybe some books on tape for his sports car. Another stupid and insensitive exhibition if I recall. We watched him pull into that covered lot and ridiculed him from across the parking lot that day.

Employee Commitment is a two way street between leadership and employee.

I've only invested eight years with Honeywell and at 31 years old have come to understand that Honeywell is undeserving of my loyalty because they are willing to sacrifice staff to maintain or fatten the bottom line or to cover up for mismanagement.

During my time at Honeywell there has been years of RIFs, reorganization and transitions of sites to other cities and offshore relocation of jobs to low cost regions. I simply do not see any employer leadership commitment side of the issue back to the employee.

I have come to understand that Honeywell leadership only sees us as expendable commodities that can be let go at will. My only current commitment is actively applying for a new job.

What the pathetic message says: We are falling behind on what we told Wall Street. We need to ship more product, now. Even if we don't have orders; we must hit the unrealistic goals. We really have no idea who does what down at the plants, but we don't care. We can not spend a dime, we can not hire anyone. This pathetic email is all the help we will give you, this is the plan we came up with.

Nobody is meeting any commitments this year. No people, no parts, no job

Furloughs for ISC soon. They have no parts and no ability to fabricate their own like we did twenty years ago. Chips, cables, metal, same story everywhere. The whole world is hamstrung by misguided interdependence.

Globalism was used as an economic hedge against world war. The thought was if we become so codependent the. No one will use those nukes. Our leaders have forgotten the roots of the strategy and pushed to where our enemies don’t need us anymore. The hedge is gone.

I'm a recent retiree after 40+ years and I find it funny that the "Dog" is essentially asking employees to do what was naturally done in my early years of Garrett AiResearch. Now with all the manipulation, mutations and mo--ns that run the place along with the exodus of skilled labor, it will never be possible.

Maddog is just reminding you that you are not as committed as he is. “ …create a true “commitment culture…” because you really haven’t been putting any effort in keeping this boat afloat.
Spewing about what color to paint the ship when there’s a big ho-e in the ship and it is sinking.
Now trying to hire people and stay ahead of attrition, is it still taking weeks to get a req approved and 6 months to try to bring someone in? Yeah we approve the req but you are not authorized to hire, the typical cost savings approach.
Go on, be more committed, go work the holiday weekend

Very bleak future for the younger worker, which is why many are just electing to "drop tools." As the North American and West European workers are squeezed out by the corporate fifth column the economies will falter and the offshore sweatshops will lose the market for which they were created.

Creating a Strong Commitment Culture

“Be Committed” is not just one of our core Honeywell Behaviors, it’s an important shared value that can help us meet our goals today and set the table for even higher levels of success tomorrow.

If we can consistently meet the promises we make to our customers and to each other, nothing can stand in our way. That’s why I’m calling on everyone at Aero to join me in taking the Be Committed behavior to the next level in order to create a true “commitment culture.”

Here’s what a commitment culture looks like:

All team members share a sense of obligation to meet their commitments to our customers and to each other. Commitments are not a goal or a target – they are obligations or promises.
There will always be challenges to meeting commitments – however it is everyone’s responsibility to find solutions to those challenges. It’s not enough to identify risks – we all need to commit to bringing forth solutions that mitigate and eliminate those risks.
All managers are accountable for their teams’ commitments because accountability comes with leadership.
Team members have an emotional tie to the mission and share in the successful accomplishment of that mission. We do what we say we are going to do and we celebrate the victories…small or big.
Team members have earned the trust and confidence in each other to meet expectations and deliver on their commitments. Right from the start, you have the trust in your teammate because you know that person is going to do their part.
Our Be Committed behavior asks each of us to “Be an evangelist for the company, take responsibility even if others don’t, act like you own this place. Be a unifier and build momentum. Speak up and let your opinion be heard, then get behind the decision. Create a positive, vibrant environment where people can do their best work. Care deeply about the organization. Lead by example and work hard.”

Of course, a commitment culture doesn’t just happen. It will require each of us to take our individual and team commitments to the next level and work relentlessly to achieve them, overcoming all obstacles. In my mind, a commitment isn’t something we wish and hope to achieve. It’s a promise that we must achieve.

We need to be known as an organization that meets its commitments without fail, so let’s work together to foster a true commitment culture at Honeywell Aerospace.

One of the best kept secrets in the book of how to have a long and glorious career: do not EVER get emotional about your job... except pi$$ed when management acts like this. You have to care enough to get the job done. But, never too much that you take it home with you. Treat management the way they treat you. Bail out as soon as you can.

Lol. Making decisions costs money. Right now, a VP has to approve a new headset for me to do my job. I have to escalate for VP approval to get a problem solved. That is not how to empower people.

Be committed? So that we can make good to the performance only to get an announcement that the site is going to be closed off after meeting all those numbers. Where is the rationale to put high expectations onto a site and get the employees all riled up only to rip their jobs away.

That was a very demotivating email. But, hey, Honeywell didn't have to spend a dime. Let's all go pull rabbits out of hats now. I think our leadership team is making a very poor attempt to try to be more like Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Bill Gates (back in the day), some others, except we don't have the stock options their employees had. Why can't we all just work 24/7 and the stock go up 300 points. Mdog and DA wondering why they can't have their billion too.

I used to have the 7 (then 8) behaviors printed off and framed in my cube.

Then I began to remove the behaviors one by one Everytime my boss or some other higher up acted in a way contrary to those behaviors.

I finally threw the whole thing in the trash when I was gaslighted by someone in an authority position.

I'll be inspired when Honeywell stock crashes worse than GE has.

Sure, I can pretend I own this business but instead of reaping most of benefits, I reap almost nothing and YOU get to reap most of the benefits while I get to do all the work. Besides, if I owned this place, YOU and the rest of the goldbricking id--ts at the top would find themselves looking for another company to ruin.

What exactly is our mission? I'm not sure you even know anymore? Is our mission is to make you and the rest of the stockholders filthy rich off our backs? Is our mission to make our customers hate working with us because we don't have any parts or enough people to complete the tasks in a reasonable amount of time? If so, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Here's a suggestion for you, mad dog. Why don't you take some of that HIPAC money and lobby president potato brain to turn the pipeline back on so we aren't begging the middle east for more oil. Just a suggestion, of course.

He wrote checks with his mouth that his depleted workforce cannot cash. The customers must have decided to call Dairy Boy after they could no longer trust MM. MM needs to staff up to meet his customer commitments even if he loses
half a point of margin.
