Interesting. Just saw an email sent after 6pm yesterday that CWA 1101 and Vzn reached an agreement that ANYONE who put in for the recent surplus offer will be accepted.

They don’t use sassafras in root beer anymore either.
NE IBEW and the Company have come to an agreement to let the oversubscribes leave under the current SEIPP with last date worked September 11th. The vacated oversubscription positions will be backfilled by outside techs/mechanics who need to move to inside jobs.
Who would want to leave that wonderful company?
The walking spittoon?
They need to hire people before they declare a surplus. They haven't hired since 2006 . Except for a few lineman
Actually what you state makes sense, it has been really quiet in the CSSC for months now, which supports what you say…as something would’ve been offered this summer. They haven’t declared a surplus and maybe things will ramp back up.
No companywide SEISP, those days are over. Plenty of work in Fios and they haven't had a surplus in 2-3 years now. They need people actually and have waiting for training that has been shut down the entire pandemic to continue moving people over from copper to fiber.
They already had the ISP for the year, which was mentioned previously in this thread, of lf the books by today: 9/3
I have heard November for next offer. That could mean letters sent out late September I would think to be off the books by early November. I would imagine Verizon would want people out by veteran’s day, just a guess.
Best way to get layoffs is exposing workers to Covid.
Hahaha, social distancing in an office. That will happen.
No it's not for the CSSC/FSC reps. It's for only the title's that were just offered the package in July with off payroll by 9/4. I don't trust Verizon with that "backfill and upgrades" thing, they have no merit and their word means nothing. I can remember about 20 years ago, managers were calling reps at home that were on disability and telling them to return to work from disability because of a bunch of positions about to be offered to them. When the rep returned from disability, NO positions, absolutely nothing and it was a stunt to get reps back to work..so I'm not sure about this. They still need to offer that SEIPP to anyone in any title that will take it if they really want to reduce their workforce and be able to social distance...and so we wait, let's just all watch their next move.
That’s not for cssc and fsc reps though right?
