Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

In myHR there is now a vaccination area. Field and corporate employees have been asked to let Lowe’s know by Oct 6 if they are vaccinated.

They have finally found the ultimate way to seize control.....fear of health epidemics. What reasonable person is normally against "the greater good"? So this shames people into making poor decisions on liberties to feed the fear. If this can be done with a virus with a very small death rate just imagine what will come when the threat of much more deadly diseases hit? Lenin and Mao must be beside themselves for not coming up with this idea

Have lost count of how many employees have been out for weeks on end due to either having COVID or exposure to someone who had it. SM having neurological issues after his "recovery" and also now has permanent lung damage and only works part time. Another employee recently died from COVID induced pneumonia. Neither were vaccinated. Too bad I can't post a picture of the "In Memory" table set up near the break/training rooms or my SM's months of missed time as proof of my statements.

Practically every store is already short staffed and all the COVID related call outs are certainly NOT helping and even more importantly are causing an unbelievable amount of strain on the healthcare system. My state of FL has some of the highest rates of positively and deaths but the data is being masked since our governor is only reporting numbers once a week. I mean we wouldn't want those vacationers changing their plans to visit a state where if you are suddenly requiring emergency care you may not be able to get an ICU room or possibly even gaining ER admittance.

As for you increasingly isolated anti-vaxers who clearly keep opening these threads, I personally don't care what your opinions are or whether you live or die from COVID. However, when you actions or lack thereof causes hospitals emergency care abilities to be at the breaking point that is where your "freedoms" are now impacting everyone else's. The simple solution to that is if and when you contract COVID just say at home and self medicate with all your alternative treatments until you either recover or pass from asphyxia. If it's the latter just be sure to yell out (to the best of your abilities since your lungs will be full of fluid and your diaphragm exhausted) the word "freedom" with your last breath. Oh, forget that last part as you will actually be in a coma by then.

Walmart is giving a $75.00 bonus to every employee that's had the vacination. Lowes probably will too after Home Depot does.

Weekly testing, the tests are usually covered by insurance or free locally. Your only putting unvaccinated people at risk lol. You mean some of the people who are at hospitals waiting for a hospital bed or care. Clogging up emergency rooms and preventing others who may need surgery from getting it. Your only putting your friends, family and neighbors at risk. You could unknowingly get the virus and be asymptotic, take it home and cause someone to become seriously ill or die. There’s only 80 million of you. You would be conforming to doing what most kids did before they could attend school, get shots. You would be conforming to do what most Americans did which nearly eradicated polio. But you will probably have the weekly testing option or go work at a small company that isn’t part of any future mandate. Just know this, more and more every day, companies will mandate proof of vaccination until you can’t go on a plane, see a movie, go to a restaurant without proof. One to two shots which cause minor symptoms, but you get to take the day off of work each time.
