Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Pathetic HR

I find it pathetic that they blast out emails regarding 'The Great Return' AFTER business hours on a Friday! Am I vaccinated? None of your business! MY medical records are NOT yours!

Who in their right mind thinks this is a great place to work, and why the he-l is HR asking to see my vaccine card. You can sit on it and rotate HR. My personal health is my business and nothing to do with my employer.

If you have an issue with it, let me go from this cr---y OFD owned organization that can't seem to get a strategic plan together.

Enough with the HIPPA excuse. It doesn’t pertain to this situation.

HIPAA and Proof of Vaccine Status

Vaccination information is classed as PHI and is covered by the HIPAA Rules. However, HIPAA only applies to HIPAA-covered entities – healthcare providers, health plans, and healthcare clearinghouses – and their business associates. If an employer asks an employee to provide proof that they have been vaccinated in order to allow that individual to work without wearing a facemask, that is not a HIPAA violation as HIPAA does not apply to most employers.

It would not be a HIPAA violation for an employer to ask an employee’s healthcare provider for proof of vaccination. It would however be a HIPAA violation for the employee’s healthcare provider to disclose that information to the employer unless the individual had provided authorization to do so.

That’s why they target employees over 50

Your medical records are your own? Are you covered by a Fiserv plan? If so naive to think your records are your own.

Fk Frank and his rinky di-k "Great Return" fruity nonsense. I wasn't the only one who faked my vax card.. I encouraged others to do so as well. Ain't nothing you gonna do 'bout it either NY tough guy.

Bless your hearts...apparently you haven't been reading your tea leaves very well.

There is a reason original Fiserv HR is leaving in a mass exodus. Seems not all is sunshine & roses with how Tony & Frank want to run things. At First Data, HR's role was to just nod & execute but Fiserv HR is choosing to leave rather than fall in line. No room to advocate for employee's in Frank's HR world.

Expect more change on the horizon with little to no thought...planning...or mindfulness. Remote being eliminated...bonus removal...no more on call pay...a big push to relocate & move your lives for a company that can't guarantee it won't cut your job the minute you sign the lease.

Get your notice signed...sealed...ready to go or hold out & see if you get a package. Either way...it's time to go.

Science shows us that people that use phrases like patently absurd are usually douches

People talking about COVID deaths not understanding what "comorbidities" are....

By the current logic the 9/11 jumpers would count as "covid deaths"

Why is it that I can go to an NFL game with 60k PLUS people and NOT wear a mask, but if we start having to go back into office with only a handful of people, they want us to mask-up at all times?

They did the math. They determined that the money made from "collaboration" is more than the money they will spend on short term and long term disability.

If the employee doesn't recover from their brain injury after long term disability runs out, it is no longer Fiserv's problem. Win-win.

Any comparison between COVID and flu deaths is patently absurd. Per the CDC, "During the 2019-2020 influenza season, CDC estimates that influenza was associated with 38 million illnesses, 18 million medical visits, 405,000 hospitalizations, and 22,000 deaths. The influenza burden was higher in young children (0-4 years) and adults (18-49 years) compared with a recent season with the 2017-2018 season, a recent season with high severity, and provides evidence to support how severe seasonal influenza can be at any age."

More people die from the flu. We don’t declare Marshall law

The post that states "only" .19 percent of the US population have died from COVID - so what's the big deal - is a ridiculous observation. For example, 2,996 poor souls perished in the 9/11 attacks, which works out to .00105 percent of the US population in 2001. Despite this small percentage those lost are justifiably memorialized and mourned every year. What is truly tragic are the huge number of unvaccinated filling our hospitals ICU's and needlessly dying of COVID by the hundreds each day. The unvaccinated are also providing fertile breeding grounds for the creation of future COID variants and prolonging the misery of this pandemic. Wake up people and get vaccinated so we can all move past this scourge...

More people die from lock downs than covid d-mb a-s. The flu is worse that covid d-mb a-s. Vaccines are just a money maker d-mb a-s

Yeah guys what's the big deal about the September 11th death count every two days because of covid. God you people are insufferable.

Post ID: @2ytp+1cLW8xct

Does everyone realize the number of deaths is .19 percent? .19! Not even a full 1%! Wake up people! Why are they pushing a vaccine so much for such a small percentage?

Instead of "Great Return" it should be called "Great Outbreak" because that is exactly what will happen. Phase II will be "Great Lawsuit" where Frank gets sued into oblivion for putting attrition above employee safety.

That just means that the actual population of America is 658,865,000 and we have a 100% infected rate.

List of issues with HR:

  • The benefits team is charged with reducing costs not increasing benefits.
  • No pay equity or market adjustments occur without a manager having to beg sometimes for multiple years to get an employee a small increase.
  • They spend more time on planning RIF's than anything else.
  • Constant reorgs that never really help anything cause thousands of hours of meetings with no long term benefit when you just reorg again in 1-2 years.
  • Your not paid based on the market but based on what others in your pay band make.
  • HR is 100% for the company not the employee.
  • They make promises and don't keep them.
  • They say to get creative with your minimal 2% raise pool each year. Yeah how about I give my one underpaid employee all the pool and pi-s everyone else off. Or how about my 2 Far Exceeds employees, I guess they will get 2.5% and someone else will probably only get 1%. Oh and don't forget the OFD side has a secret pool of money they give out for extra raises and bonus $$, but just for OFD employees.
  • They can't figure out how to even get on-call pay standardized, oh wait it will just go away.
  • They state no forced EOY ratings, yet they cap the number of Far Exceeds and Exceeds Many and in some cases require a meets most. The head of HR has stated no forced ratings distribution yet apparently no one in leadership at the VP and higher level follows it.

Add anything I missed.

Actually a company can ask and cam require vaccination.

It is their business and they are completely within their legal bounds.

by
|
Post ID: @1txx+1cLW8xct

Yeah, you can always go work elsewhere. You can absolutely be required to confirm/deny your vaccination status as a condition of employment. I don't know where you folks get your ideas.
