Has anyone worked at Chevron Phillips or know anybody that works there? Is this a good company to work for? Good compensation? How often are the layoffs there? Thanks I know they are a JV with Chevron and Phillips 66

The compensation program and profit sharing/stock plans were materially less with CP Chem then w/ Chevron. Disagree with poster who said that petrochemicals is a declining industry (use plastics much ?) Decent investment opportunities overseas and on the Gulf Coast. Not bad industry to have long-term career.

It has Chevron in the name! How can you go wrong! They win in any environment! Well, ummm, at least they say they do! That has to count for something!!

If your not building transferable skills don’t go to either of these companies. It’s a declining industry that is not fun to work in. Back in the day you were respected for these jobs now you are hated for them. Go elsewhere.

CPChem is a highly rated chemical company, but the compensation package between the two are very different. If you have a transferable skill set, layoffs don't really matter. :)
