Maybe someone prefers a job that isn’t challenging. In my case, I didn't find it at DXC. I wonder what would be the reaction if I communicated with a superior to see if there is somewhere within the company where I can be reassigned? Perhaps it's better to look for a challenge in another company?

I fully agree. Move on. It will only get more boring and toxic.
The challenges in DXC will be more likely operational, governance and process based, rather than finding solutions to interesting problems. There are some large financial clients left and healthcare which is a bit of a mess.
Your superior won’t be too motivated to place you elsewhere as you filled a gap they had and there isn’t a lot of flex left in roles other than layers of management.
Personally, I’d look elsewhere
