Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Three months since I left

I stopped here briefly just to see what's going on here now. Looks like the situation hasn't improved much?

I’m still not used to working at another company because it's weird not experiencing stress everyday. After so much time at Optum it is now literally unusual for me not to be under so much pressure like I was there.

I was looking for a few weeks and kind of hoping to get laid/off fired in the meantime but couldn't pull it off. Still happy to be at a new place and a little shocked at being treated well every day. I don't get why so many people put up with the misery when there's other jobs out there.

I was laid off. It was for over a year. I'm not exactly young. I am now employed, but I was soooo happy after they let me go, I actually said thank you on the way out. Best thing that ever happened. Worst company I ever worked for.

How bizarre! I’ve been gone 4 months and still have to remind myself my new company ISNT Optum and that my current manager doesn’t want to see me fail.

I almost cried the first time my supervisor gave me positive recognition. I was so beat down by my manipulative boss at Optum that I almost forgot what it was like to receive the slightest bit of praise or recognition.

Nothing changes, it was part of their charm.
