I don’t have any information but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there were a lot of RIFs just before the end of the year. This is the first time I would love to be a target of holiday RIF. I don't have a plan, I don't have a lot of savings, but that would be the best thing that happened to me here in a while. I believe there are a lot of people who don’t see themselves in this joke of a company next year? I certainly don’t intend to be here in 2022.

I quit mine without a job after march. It is the best thing I did. After four months I got a better paying job.
I took the risk. We lived with less. The best thing I did in my life. I too was afraid. My wife supported me. It is a smaller company. They like the experience I bring from a large company
The risk is worth it. Ask anyone who walked away from the toxic job your in
No savings, No plan, Not happy….new job won’t fix that buddy.

Volunteer to be RIF’d. Win win.
If you quit they might be able to rif your non filled backfill instead of them riffing someone else and then you having to quit and they get 2 for 1.
volunteer to be let go to save others on your team.
We’ll see you January 1 working that New Year’s Day shift haha.
Why wait? Just leave if that is how you feel. If people wouldn't stay in an unhappy relationship then your job is no different.
