I can't afford to quit or be fired but the whole RTO issue has me praying to be laid off. I can't believe that just months ago I was petrified of that possibility and now I see it as the best-case scenario for my future. That should be enough to tell you how bad things are here now.

Depends on your line of work... there are a ton of remote tech jobs but in other areas not so much. I'm finding that most of the employers posting remote finance jobs out there have a strong preference for a local candidate, and the pickings for remote finance/acct'g jobs in the CLT area are slim.

could care less. Not going back and if i get the package it's plenty of time for me to ride it out till the next job...which i already started the process
