I'm thinking of becoming a mortician. At least that career has better job security than this place. And frankly, it seems like a funner experience than working here at the moment.

Get out Now!!! NS sux
Cool choice in occupations. Maybe you will come across an old supervisor and you’ll have to pull his head out of his a/!
I had a grandfather that did that for 40 years. He was excellent at it, apparently the best guys in that business are the ones who do great "demisurgery", of fixing up broken bodies to look good for open casket. Back in maybe 1998-1999 he made $300 per body and would do like 3-4 a night on call. So that might be a good choice of career. All I know is he dragged me with him a few times and I saw some rather disgusting bodies, including one he had to do that had donated bones and had pvc pipes in place of them in the body. He pumped all that embalming fluid in and it was leaking like a sieve everywhere on table from all the butcher cut swen with butchers twine where they took bones out and sewed back up roughly......Good luck with that
Wouldn’t be to big of a stretch. I felt dead most of the time I worked there.
Mortician is a good move , people are dying to see you . may be boring working around a bunch of stiffs . If things get slow its not that hard to dig up business .
Trading one dying industry for another. At least a mortician only has state regulations. NS has the constant presence of federal regulators from the DOT and FRA making sure that every time you wipe your a$$ you have 5 rules to follow.
If things continue like they are I'll be the one your working on. I would like a simple natural look, hands folded across my chest, and a wood casket. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like a dead end job to me
I'm not trolling, I honestly believe anything, including being a mortician, would provide a better work experience than NS.
