only then does it become clear to you how much your skills have atrophied while at Xerox and how much you made a mistake by not leaving here much earlier.
I tried as hard as I could to maintain my skills sharp while I was at X, but it still happened.
I don’t know what one can do to maintain skills sharp in a company that is anything but a learning culture?

I have always been able to find time for continual learning. If you don't, it's nobody's fault but your own.
Don’t You Know? A box is a box is a box. Right? Yah… sure it is. At least you got Out of xerox. Good for you.
I know all about their training methods. Here is a MacGuyver pocket kn--e and a prayer book. After all what are they paying you for? A monkey can do this job so I have been told. I say “ you must know some smart chimps. “ These people are Beyond Clueless.
fully trained on lexmark, master level konica on color and production. Probably 10 classroom weeks on toshiba. 10 weeks on HP. Came to Xerox with years of experiance, in 4 years there before I quit I had 2 days of online training, and 20 mins with the "local" trainer. Nothing more. Its no wonder they have one of the least tenures of companies I have ever worked for.
