The sooner you face it, the sooner you can start making plans for your career outside of Ascension. There are still plenty of companies here that respect knowledge and experience over saving some money in the short term by hiring cheaper workers. It's time to start sending out resumes.

You're crazy to stay or to work for any of the partners. It is not good for you or your career. You'll see.
@eniw+1cYWFpSp - The only thing is Ascension is last I knew Ascension was moving away from Cisco to Juniper...
When you flood the Market with Cisco, and Cisco provides free training across the pond, what do you expect? This is why health care IT world is 90% Cisco. So we are back to, just turn it on, and it works. Troubleshooting to follow after the fact. It's what the book says....
Can't fault the future.
It's true, Ascension doesn't value you, care about you, or let's face it, even like you. Ditto for those who are staying. All y'all nothing but an expense to them. A contemptible expense. Notice they only agreed to fund the pension through 2022...so...Yes, more to come in 2022.
@dbg+1cYWFpSp - All the best to you!
Agreed. I just transitioned away to a new job and I am making much more money and developing. I was just support while at Ascension.
It’s time for me to leave this forum. Good luck to all. Find your moved cheese!
A certain number of employees will be retained by Ascension to work on the strategic and shiny new stuff but the support of legacy systems and applications have been turned over to companies in third world countries and will continue to be turned over. The best time to find a new job is while you've already got one! What's everyone waiting for? Ascension no longer values you...
Only a handful of IT associates are being retained to shepherd the flock the to the outsource companies. More layoffs scheduled for 2022?
