COVID is going up quite seriously, especially among kids. Vaccinated folks are still carriers. Harris County raised threat levels to “Severe”. Hospitals are stretched. People are masking up on campus (some, but they standout and get stares).
And what are we doing? Full return to campus, masks are optional, signage removed for social distancing. No social distancing required.
I used to get sick every year around this time. Kids would bring home all sorts of germs from their first week back at school. IFR for kids and for vaccinated adults is extremely low. Not sure what there is to be worried about.

Anything from our SE Asia affiliates? Heard cases there are very bad. What about BA? UK? Singapore? Permian? Williston? Pittsburg? Canada? Is Canada back to office ?
It’s absolutely ludicrous that we haven’t gone back to standards from 2020. Our management can’t claim they care and definitely don’t call out people for not holding the handrail
Do what is best for you, get vaccinated if not already, do social distancing and wear a mask when around other people at work.
No way campus will send people back home again. This is EM, we never go back on our word.
