Those of you who think you're safe, think again. Nobody is safe, other than the ELT. You are seen as something that is easily replaceable and when the time comes, they're going to replace you. It doesn't matter how long you've been with the company or what you believe your own worth is. Somebody cheaper looks much more attractive to them. That's the God-given truth.

They can replace me (someone with a Master's degree) with a cashier any day that they want. It's why I left. Expecting me to earn what they do and to live with watered down benefits wasn't appealing any more. They acted as if they were the only employer in town. Even the cashiers and baristas of the world are refusing to work now, so I guess L3H might be learning a lesson. I've heard that it's worse than ever in Grand Rapids now.
