Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Have you ever had a harder start in any company than at DXC?

So far I have worked in several companies and in each I fit in very quickly. At DXC this is not possible just like that. Corporate culture is so toxic that it is impossible to fit. Every day I face expectations that are very unrealistic. I can't wait to leave.

Why would you try to fit in? It is toxic. After the first three months, you realize that nothing is changing for the better and you start doubting yourself. How could you have been so stupid. Its a concentrated version of all the toxicity that EDS, HPE, CSC had. Just try to get as much out of them while you wait for the inevitable WFR.

In response to @3hjv+1ckUyIPO, you can get lucky at DXC and find a role where you just 'do your hours'. Until you get hit by WFR. It hit me as 'You are at risk' 6 times in under 2 years. I found that far more stressful than long hours at my previous employer (where I pulled all-nighters sometimes to get bids submitted on time). Thing is, my previous employer recognised those all-nighters and hard work at appraisal time, at bonus time, and in the culture of staff being well-rewarded. At DXC, it doesn't matter how hard you work, how well you do, how much your clients appreciate you, all you get is "You are at risk in the next round of WFR - we might keep you, we might get rid of you".

I'll take long hours and a humane employer over DXC's toxic culture every time.

(And yes, I did regret leaving my previous employer - it was a former boss from a different company who persuaded me to join DXC. I'd like to say I hate him for it, but they'd WFR'd him in the time between me accepting the offer and starting with DXC).

Yeah, A previous company I worked at caused me to burn out within seven months due to unrealistic, 14 hour/day workloads. Recovery took almost a year. In comparison, DXC is easy to fit in.
