Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Does HR need to repeat eighth grade?

This is a post in the Grand Rapids market looking for a Buyer:
"As a Senior Buyer you willl be responsible for Procurement management with Key Supplier includng; sorcing, negotiating and Management of strategic Partners"

THIS IS THE EXACT POSTING. So, let's see what was spelled wrong...
*It should be 'will' instead of "willl"
*It should be 'including' instead of 'includng'
*It should be 'sourcing' instead of 'sorcing'

I didn't even bother to address the issues with capital letters. This is really pathetic.

There's even ANOTHER job posting with spelling mistakes.
Good grief. Where do they hire from now?
It's pretty bad when the department responsible for hiring cannot rise above eighth grade grammar skills.

Human Resources cannot even post a job without correct spelling.
They are hiring using temp agencies now, so the work load is minimal.
My guess is that the only incentive would be to hire people who won't challenge them and their domain. Incompetent people want to control a situation out of fear and insecurity.

If someone ever evaluated how many they hire and how many that leave the turnover here in Grand Rapids is AMAZING. I bet it is no less than hundreds in a year with such a small census. Either they are hiring wrong or hiring the wrong people. Reflection on HR. Do they get a incentive if they hire 100 people in a year or what (Not noting how many leave)?

I think to circle back to the original post, it's clear that L3 Human Resources cannot even rise to the level of competent. (Doubt that they'd be able to spell this word either.)

Well done, well said.
Most people use the word 'competent' as if it's something to be proud of. All it really means is just average.
(And men especially love to throw this word around, completely unaware of how foolish they sound!)

Oh, yes... we certainly cannot have any issues of misgender here.
LOL!

Where's our pal Archie Bunker when you need him?

It's funny that he (is this the correct pronoun?) didn't even realize that he was calling himself just average. NICELY DONE.
GAME. SET. MATCH!

Just in case he (is this the correct pronoun?) needs help with this phrase also...

A phrase said at the end of a tennis match (which consists of games and sets) that can be used humorously in any situation in which someone is victorious or triumphant.

  • "Game, set, match!"

"Makes me wonder how many competent men will be replaced by someone simply because they are a woman."

Men certainly are competent. Here's the definition of the word since you didn't seem to grasp just how much you don't know:

competent
[ˈkämpədənt]
ADJECTIVE

  • acceptable and satisfactory, though not outstanding.

My nephew graduated from high school with honors and told me that he was thinking of going into Human Resources management studies.

I quickly informed him of what a dead end path (and brain dead job) this would be. He's thankfully studying something that will use his brains.

"Well when you prioritize identity politics over competence this is what you get. L3Hariss has a goal of 50% percent women. Makes me wonder how many competent men will be replaced by someone simply because they are a woman. This company and all corporate companies are garbage heaps these days. It's litteraly more profitable and practical to work from home doing data entry. What a circus this country has become."

I agree that our country has become a circus. But, I have to wonder if you're in the HR department, because of all the spelling mistakes that you've made in the above. Buy a dictionary before posting, please.

“Grammar is the greatest joy in life.”

Human Resources is the exact opposite of anything joyful.

Not really shocked. I remember when our Grand Rapids entire office was sent out some sort of newsletter-style invitation to a lousy little party in the cafeteria. In the three sentences of the entire message, there were at least a half dozen spelling or grammar errors.
Made the day a little less boring at least. But then you realize that these are the people who are doing the hiring. No need to wonder why cashiers and baristas get asked to interview. Glad to be gone. Really glad.

It's so hard to ignore the stupidity when it's right there.
Cannot believe that corporate pays these people to actually show up for work.

I found this definition when I searched "flunky" online. I wonder if they could spell this either. Try spell check. Great feature for the flunky crowd.

mo--n
[ˈmôrˌän]
NOUN

  • a stupid person; a person of low intelligence.

Wow. This is pretty basic stuff and if a Human Resources flunky cannot even post a simple job without all of these errors, it's clear why they cannot manage to do much else.
