Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Store/company changes

Do any one knows when cvs is suppose to change how they operate? Cvs bought aetna and i hear the company suppose to change. I hear some front store product will not be sold anymore and cvs is to change into a mini health/mini hospitol type business and anyone who is not trained in pharmacy will no longer be employed with cvs and we all will be laid off. Is this true? In my store it looks like they are getting rid of products. I been with cvs for 5 years and never seen my store soo empty of products. It looks like cvs is starting to get rid of products now. Trucks are smaller now. Whats going on here? I here it is like this at all cvs stores. Why? Very alarming. Is it time to job search?

Do you not shop anywhere else? Every store you go into from supermarkets to Target the shelves are empty. There is global labor shortage and it along with COVID is impacting companies ability to manufacture stuff let alone get it shipped to the stores.

There is an article on the web that in the future CVS will be just selling health and beauty products. It will be a limited front store. I don't know if there will be layoffs.

I heard in the future there will be more self-checkouts. More automation will occur.
