Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

In layoff news

Frank has demanded a blanketed 5% reduction in headcount to “make his numbers.” Read that again. All employees are numbers. Numbers representing how much and how long you are in the office, how much you cost him, and how are you contributing to his pay.

It doesn’t matter if you are a good or bad performer. He needs to meet his short-term small minded micromanaged numbers game. He’ll make sure to bring the binder home on Friday so he can decide who gets hired, fired and can WFH (which is no one really). How is this f$&@er still the CEO. He is an expense manager at best. Worst CEO ever at worst.

Don’t let the sycophant investors fool you. They have close relationships with the ETL team. Hey Wall Street, Frank can’t cut his way to growth so he’s eliminating people desperately needed to do the work because he needs to make you happy. Wake the f**k up!

I expect Q3 and especially Q4 revenue to slow due to the massive departure of seasoned sales execs and product owners. This will justify the cuts, however, it’ll take a long while to fill those seats and ramp up sales. This does not bode well for revenue in 2022.

So they are cutting staff just before the holiday season. Frank has no heart, but his pockets are lined with lots of cash.

First Data is literally shoving a bunch of invalid/untested network "migrations" down our throats and breaking everything while doing it. This place is an absolute joke.

I worked at Fiserv but I left for a different opportunity that interested me. I liked the company tbh. My team was great too

OFD is 100% how much bu-t you can kiss. There are ivory towers all over the place. People in positions that have just been there for like 20 years so they keep their job even though they are not very good. It isn't about doing things better, it's about doing more with less, less everything. Just look at those special titles they pushed out around distinguished engineers, etc. They all went to Guy's BFF's.

To the person that says clients were pi---d in OFS, well guess what they are even more pi---d now.

OFS can’t compete so they whine on here. OFD is a professional organization that focuses on work not personal relationships (looking at you old ETG)

@1rft

Yabuki wasn't perfect but I'd take him back over Prank any day. Stank is driving the company straight into the DIRT.

You are all trying to justify the embarrassment OFSV was terms of taking care of it customers. Yapuki was a horrible ceo who only cared about double digit eps by buying back shares. Now Frank is shining a light on your pathetic work ethic and lack of client focus.

I am the most productive employee there. Guaranteed! Thanks to my liberty mouse mover of course.

This would explain why we are continuously asked to operate without sufficient staffing. Nothing gets done anymore as the company no longer staffs it’s departments to actually develop. Instead, we are asked to get more done with less and less, which never happens. Not to mention, agile is a joke the way we run it at Fiserv. This place has become a rudderless company since FD took over. Everything has become a LOT worse. Everything.

"Hey Wall Street, Frank can’t cut his way to growth" it's weird that you talk to "Wall Street" like they are your friends. Wall Street is the reason for all of Frank's decisions. We have two enemies here, stop thinking it's just the one with a name.

In companies i had worked fir in the past, the first thing to happen is that job openings are pulled to protect those employed. Is that not Franks MO? If not, it should be.

One thing pandemic teaches us you can run a company with a lot less. All malcontents get ready to go find those jobs you talk so glowingly about but have magically eluded you!
