What's sad is the railroad used to be one he-l of a good family sustaining job. Nice pay, good insurance and a nice retirement to look forward to you. I have relatives who have retired after a long career and they had their rough times as well, but always seemed to have a callback to look forward to. Now even those of us who get that call have to really think about whether it is worth it to go back. Management is in a state liquidity just the same as the crafts people.
