I see many people believe IBM is great for new hires and younger employees, but even that's not true anymore. I watch every day as they're being used and abused by their managers for what at one time would have been considered ridiculous pay. There are a few lucky ones, of course, but most of them know the right people or are related to them. IBM is simply not good for anybody anymore.

IBM has no money to invest... which is the root of the problem and why the company is slowly becoming bankrupt.

People?!? I thought we were Resources!
Google said "Americans", ibm did say "people".
Am I paranoid or that 150,000 figure will be the company headcount in three years?
IBM said it will train more than 150,000 people
Oh boy, more pointless webinars and stinkin' badges.
Speaking of the cybersecurity meeting at WH. Per Reuters:
"Microsoft said it will invest $20 billion over five years, a four-fold increase from current rates, to speed up its cyber security work, and make available $150 million in technical services to help federal, state and local governments to help keep their security systems up to date.
IBM said it will train more than 150,000 people in cybersecurity skills over three years and will partner with historically black colleges and universities to create a more diverse cyber workforce.
Google said it was devoting $10 billion to cybersecurity over the next five years, but it was not immediately clear what if any of the figure represented new spending. It also said it would help 100,000 Americans earn industry-recognized digital skills certificates that could lead to high-paying jobs."
IBM is only controlled by legacy personnel only who are unfortunately in control of the company. They don't believe in changes (i.e., Lotus Notes to Outlook). They don't believe in new technology or practices. Just the same old stuff year after year.
I'm sure the reason why IBM was invited to the WH for security was around how IBM can protect the mainframes. Everything else is covered with the competitors.
Yes, young people know this now and nobody is applying to ibm job openings.
Atleast no competitive person.
