I echo someone's post that he/she is here for an easy paycheck. I, on the other hand, have worked at several companies in the industry and only for Cenovus I can't say that I got a paycheck easily. Admittedly, it may be for some, given that the distribution of work is awful - while some are overwhelmed with work, some no longer even know what their job is.

What ever happened to Husky's HRO culture? The U.S. Navy's nuclear submarine consulting firm? Cenovus give them the boot out the door as well?
When the senior management team doesn't know what to do they hire a consulting firm. Consulting firm will spend some time and comes up with a report with beautiful charts and analytics. Then senior management will look at the report... and they will scratch their head. Money is wasted until "iceberg" gets closer.
HR needs consultants? What a joke! It is the job of management to make things work.
Absolutely correct many in the Husky Org never did much of anything especially the maintenance dept in Edson (a planner that couldn't even get oil delivered on time.. Never even new of issues and never rectified anything until it crashed... They have 3 people organizing maint which the ops can do just fine... Another waste is the Corser plant which has 6 people running plant 2 on days 1 on night per shift total 6. Cenovus runs bigger higher productions plant with 2 total one on each shift with no night shift.. Husky has a ACC well control 2 men 1 per shift who just print out a automatically computer generated well report.. So much waste. Cenovus is already onto their game... Cuts are coming in Sept Oct. My guess half of Husky Edson will be cut and run better afterwards..
There were a lot of "jobs that aren't really jobs" at Husky and (surprise surprise) those people were protected and are now part of the Cenovus organization.
HR needs to engage a third party consultant to evaluate who / what is important going forward.
