Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

They want to run us out the door

Nike doesn't want to lay us off to be stuck with paying severance or fire us to be stuck with paying unemployment. Nope. Why do any of that when they can pile on the work along with constant criticism and increasingly stressful work environment and watch us leave on our own?

It starts and ends with the “leaders”, in this case lack of leadership

The GT is being run by some clueless, arrogant and disrespectful new employees in elevated leadership roles. It is just sad that they are running the culture to the ground.

Not looking forward to being back next week. This week away from everyone was a great clarifier on just exactly how stressful the undercurrent is there and how Managers and Directors hustle to "please up". So many badly-run organizations.

I disagree - Nike is far too disorganized to strategically compel employees to leave on their own will, though their mess is working to their benefit as OP points out. The constant criticism is coming from a lack of understanding of how processes work (and ignorance in choosing to be blind); the stressful environment is left to a handful of overworked employees who are doing the work. The best option is still leaving.
