Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Why are people here overworked, and for nothing?

If they want me back in an office, my work will suffer but i guess id get my life back. No more 10+ hour days.

This is true. I don't know a lot of people who don't work over 8 hours here every day, for nothing. Talking to some colleagues, they all work much more from home. I’m pretty sure productivity will drop with a return to the office, but people will still work extra hours.

So regarding boomers - I guess the old folks know what to do and how to do it?

It will take a few years, but Fiserv will have to do "OneFiserv" initiaive number 2 when things get bad enough.

Going in circles on conference calls is not related to generation...This happens across all ages in every major company. Maybe some more than others but talking about work, instead of doing it, is the pandemic of large corporations.

"I think a lot of boomers confuse "work" with wasting time yapping, going in circles in a conference call getting nothing done."

Isn't that Fiserv's version of Agile?

Typical a$$ho-e response from someone who likes to stereotype. No substance, no frame of reference, just make an asinine comment.
