My money is still on October 28. Disclaimer. I work for Les Schwab. We make tires. I am what you would call a steak sauce equivalent at Charles Schwab.

My money is still on Nov 8th. (maybe Nov 1st, if they want to do it early like last time)

Did you guys read that last post about Les Schwab?? Pretty funny. As funny as the steak sauce reference, for the firs time. Lets just hope Les Schwab doesn't become the new A1 reference.

I'm the original poster, with the 10/4 date, targeting 300 staff. I was not wrong, but realized one thing. I work at Les Schwab, the tire shop. It was an honest mistake. We, Les Schwab, did have over 300 layed off today. I posted in the wrong area. I realized this is Charles Schwab, the broker dealer company. Les Schwab makes tires. Charles Schwab makes money. Les Schwab also does not have steak sauce. I dun no.

All is quiet from what I can tell. I have not heard of anyone being cut today. Anyone else hear differently. I think this was a bust prediction.

It's been over a month since I had a drink. Alcohol. Beer, wine, hard li---r. My mind feels sharper. I articulate much more in the clear now. But I will likely need a whole bottle of Jack Daniels come Monday....

I'm still stuck on the assumption that all my posts are private.... I really didn't know this was a public forum...

We all know what making assumptions on who will be laid off leads to…should not assume TDA only

@2nsb+1d2QUtYW The estimated 300 being laid off next week are likely TD corporate employees in line for a more generous severance. There’s a major shortage of front line employees, so the 5% was a first step in preventing mass attrition in Q4 (doubt it will have any impact).

So you give employees a 5% raise and better 2022 benefits, and then ding 300 people? What an emotional rollercoaster, but that was Schwab in a nutshell. I got off the rollercoaster and can now see how crazy it was. My benefits are not as generous now but I’m emotionally stable. Well worth it.

Isn’t that also about the last possible day to get people off the payrolls by end of year?

The anniversary of the deal closing is Oct 6. Schwab Green employees receive the prior TDA severance up to Oct 6. After that, they receive the Schwab severance. Generally the TDA severance is more generous for those that have been around for several years or more and the Schwab severance package is more generous for someone quite new.

I can confirm that both the date and approximate numbers from the original poster is accurate. Heinz Kraft steak sauce here.

Isn't the cadence every 90 days? Which would make the next date end of October?

While I agree, you just made the classic mistake when dealing with a troll in an anonymous forum: specifically acknowledge their useless and unfunny posts. Bet on a lame response by tomorrow.

I find this site useful for rumors and legitimate "heads up" info which often ends up being correct, but I completely agree the spamming with nonsense got old months ago.

This is an uncertain time and hundreds of us are coming to this site looking for legitimate info we can benefit from, and this forum is perfect for such conversation.

This steak sauce reference is getting old, fast.

Unless you are steak sauce, we don't give you posted title too much credence. Credence. Other variations of Kraft Heinz don't carry enough weight.
