Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Other companies take everything that is good here

Lots of companies are expanding and hiring. I just talked to my friend at an oil company next door and they are going to be looking for people and plan on hiring from CVE. Everyone knows the moral at cenovus is at rock bottom and they are going to take advantage of that. A lot of companies hired the ones that were let go in march and are using them to contact good CVE people who want to leave

OP: @jmq+1d0jgTt3 I have no doubt that other companies will take advantage of the bad morale at CVE. To what extent were your old colleagues helpful for getting new jobs?

I will not be helping any of them, now that I could land a job somewhere else, I can acknowledge there are bunch of illiterate people with slightest technical knowledge hired by Husky … can’t understand what a Cr…p is their hiring system … gathering all those losers altogether!!! being managed by big losers … working with people from HSE was a predicament of my life over the last months of my stay at integrated company … their integration with CVE made a disaster for CVE … working in such environment drains you both emotionally and physically … it is always more wise to be paid less but stay with professionals around not losers … keep yourself away from these people, all toxic and backstabber ones are now survived in CVE/HSE and will do so …

I was laid off in march and had a new job within a couple of weeks. I had a few people reach out to me for jobs this last couple of weeks and I just laughed. I would never recommend them ever!! They were backstabbers when I was at cenovus. What makes people that are still there think I would do anything to get them a job lol. My new job has asked about people who have applied there from Cenovus and so far everyone who has I have said not to hire them.

I was laid off on January 26th. In the days prior, our manager put together a list of personal contact info in anticipation of the layoff. Not one has reached out.

If these individuals were to lose their job in the coming months, I guarantee I will not be helping them secure a position with my new employer.

Karma is a ???
