They've been awfully quiet on the jab mandate requiremenets and how they will affect employees (deadline, exemptions, who can test out, union bargaining, etc). I would think we would need our first shot by mid-October to be compliant in time. Anyone have any insight?

I am not a 'Karen' and vote Republican. I just don't want to be irresponsible.
Pure and simple. Making it more complicated than this is childish and tells me just how insecure you are. I get that you need to feel important in society and this is your big moment to feel like you're a part of something special. Standing tall in the weeds to keep your rights. It's silly.
This is a pandemic, not a pep rally. Be an adult and roll up your sleeves.

Even though Greg Abbott has signed an EO banning any entity in Texas from mandating vaccinations, it has no real weight to it. Only a 1k fine. Big businesses will just pay it and continue what they are currently doing.

With that said, the peaceful protest at the Greenville site will still be happening this Friday October 15th from 5 am to 8 am.

For everyone with an employer forcing jab & plz share to all you know

File a pro se Motion for Temporary Injunction immediately. Cite the law.  21 U.S. Code Section 360bbb-3.  The subsection is bbb-3(e)(1)(A)(ii)(III).  The law talks about e) conditions of authorization, 1) Unapproved product, A) required conditions. ii) Appropriate conditions, which are I, II, and III.
  This statute makes it clear you are to be told all the risks and benefits and that you have the option to refuse.  In other words, they cannot mandate an emergency use authorization vaccine, one that is experimental and lacks completed clinical trials.

If exemptions are available, apply and get one.  If not, again, do consider filing a Pro Se Emergency Temporary Injunction., to enjoin enforcement of the mandate. 

There was also a suit filed some months ago by AAPS.  It explains why the CDC and FDA heads have conflicts of interest.  Quite simply, this mandate is illegal and unconstitutional.

I work at L3 Harris in Palm Bay Fl. First it was the mask for all, then those that were vaxed didn’t wear it, 2 wks later here…comes Delta mask back on 4 everyone. Unvaxed get vaxed or else! Vaxed “do we still have to wear the mask”? YES! 🤦‍♀️ There are several ppl where I work that got the jab and got covid and…was hospitalized. The “Covid 19 task force” at L3 “you mean you got covid tho your vaxed”? Yup…oh🤔How about a fellow co workers cousin in her early 30’s got the Pfizer vax she had a stroke and blind in one eye. Oh…🤔 I can go on and on with vaxed cases where they still get covid despite getting vaxed. Now back to the mandate well no govt no employer is going to tell me what I can and can not do with my body period. Yes I know they can fire me that’s ok because there are a lot of us and if we have the ba--s to walk out they will be hurting financially. I just wish some attorney’s would step up to the plate and take them to court. This is 100% illegal what they are doing. The end…

Those are ridiculous comparisons. I'm against the vaccine because I've already had covid. I have antibodies. I can't get sick or spread it.

Let me guess, you've gotten the flu and ran out to get a flu shot after you recovered? Common sense goes a long way. Keep your us vs. them tribalism to yourself.

I'm not weak minded. I did my research too. And, historically, if every single time you didn't do something based on the fact that you couldn't prove with 100% certainty then explain this to me:

  • Do you drive a car? Seat belts have not been proven to always be effective.
  • Do you take aspirin? This was once banned.
  • Do you eat food purchased at a grocery store? There have been recalls.
  • Do you purchase clothing from a store? There are risks with the chemicals in material.

The list goes on and on. Taking a stand is one thing.
Dropping dead from it is another.

The problem is there are a lot of weak minded people that will believe whatever the establishment media or the government tells them. My reason for refusing the shot is done with a lot of research. If I get the shot I can still contact COVID and still pass it on to others. At my age and health the chances of death is very remote so way take a shot that was rushed through without proper studies and testing. These people who just parrot what they are told , calling people science deniers, need to understand science needs to be questioned. If it wasn’t questioned then we would be still living in the dark ages. As for gvl plant we are already terribly short handed and about to lose more. I don’t know if gvl can survive this.

Having a degree doesn't guarantee a high paying job. I thought this was basic knowledge these days. Take the vaccine if you want I don't care but don't think for a second you have a right to force us to take it. 16 an hour is good enough for me. My values amd independence are not for sale. Have fun this winter after we all quit or are fired. Money isn't everything. You should have learned that these past couple years. Good luck

I've done the apply for jobs on Indeed thing. Not what I'd call a real great job market out there, unless you want to flip burgers or push grocery carts all day.
$16 an hour for someone with a Master's Degree? Hilarious.

If you are afraid of covid then stay home. We are already seeing people quitting. For you vaccine warriors, have fun around Christmas when they cancel the holiday week! Biden isn't a king, I will never take the vaccine and there are plenty of opportunities right now to work from home. To those wanting to quit I encourage you to look into drop shipping through Amazon. You can buy bulk cheap items, mark up the price a couple bucks and then sell it on Amazon. Ali baba and a few other websites offer bulk items. An hour or two online will teach you everything you need to know about it. It's very easy and can be done on a laptop from home. Dont get discouraged and lose your independence for this joke of a job. Let's break out our American determination and entrepreneurship and show the gov we don't need them. Our division had a lot of people walk out today. An entire area of our production floor left and it is now shutdown. The messaging was terrible but that is not surprising considering how out of touch corporate is. Morale has continued to get worse at our location since the Harris takeover when they told the entire company that the bonuses were no longer allowed for the general workforce even though we exceeded all of our targets that year. Ever since that point, we have missed all of the key targets and they still do not understand why.

Overall I think at least 20% of our company is going to leave and the division will be screwed for a long time.

Getting the shot doesn’t prevent you from getting the virus nor prevent you from spreading it... so getting the shot doesn’t help protect any of your coworkers. It MAYBE only helps prevent the severity of the recipient’s symptoms. So thinking that by getting the shot you are somehow doing a public service and protecting people, is quite contrary to reality.

Jim Fixx was a seasoned runner, who authored a book on the subject.
He died at age 52 from a heart attack. WHILE OUT ON HIS DAILY RUN.
Cause of death was blocked arteries.

So, spare me the lecture about Diet Coke drinkers (and the odd suggestion that each one of them is obese, unless you are focusing on someone in particular) and all of the lame excuses about why you cannot hold your breath and get a simple shot in the arm.
It's not stripping away your rights, for God's sake. How people get to this silly notion, I have no idea. Do you have the same approach with any other kind of medicine?
If you take aspirin, did you know that it used to banned?

History will repeat itself (much as it has done regarding the Polio vaccine) if the public chooses stupidity over science. Your employer has nothing to do with this. You show up to work everyday. Being responsible should be something you already do when you arrive. I just shake my head when I think of what could have been prevented if people just did the right thing throughout history.

This company isn't my medical dictator. I saw a news report on CNN that 75% of new cases have been vaxxed. I've had covid and it wasn't that bad at all. I eat healthy and exercise so it's not a surprise when you see these obese diet coke drinking slugs dying from it. I dare this company to enforce it. It's not a question or issue of someone trying to usurp your freedoms.

IT'S A PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE, PURE AND SIMPLE.
How L3H decides to handle this will be a wait and see. I've never known them to be on the cutting edge of great decision making. (If you need a clear example, take a look at who's running the place.) Enough said?

It’s simple. Harris, sorry… L3Harris, has always been big into “the quarterly numbers”. Right now the big push is for overtime so that we can goose these Q3 numbers. We don’t want to rock the employee boat right now. As soon as we are done squeezing out this Q3 tu-d, we’ll announce a vaccine mandate.

L3H leadership has been quiet on the jab because they know a large portion of the workforce is going to walk. L3H leadership is NOT as smart or intelligent as its overall workforce who knows a bad deal (or edict) when they see one. The same cannot be said for L3H leadership who is simply towing the Biden/DoD agenda.

It's ridiculous that ANY company has to instruct people to be responsible enough during a global pandemic to get vaccinated to protect the population in general, and specifically co-workers in the workplace.
Enough of the 'it's my choice' and 'it's my body' nonsense. We are living in unprecedented times and none of us has any right to expose someone else to potential harm.
I've never seen nor expected L3H to do the right thing, but hopefully individual employees will get some knowledge dropped on them in time to save their lives, and maybe someone else's along the way.
