I work here as a cashier. Not so long ago I had a panic attack here for the first time, and now I think I’m slipping more and more into depression. I do the best I can and I am afraid every day that I will lose this job.
The hardest thing for me is that they make a big deal out of every little mistake I make, while some others make much bigger mistakes and have no problems at all.

get out of retail all together.. find a desk job and forget macys .. macys will always be a gaslighting company . you are just a number to them a meaningless number . go work for starbucks they need help.. you wil be treated better and could be promoted
Relax, if this happens retail is hiring all the time and its fall season. If you are concerned fill out some application's now and see what happens. You might end up with a better position with higher pay, and not have to deal with tons of go back rods. You don't even have to leave your house for the interview.
