Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Vax mandate

Now that vax mandate is formally in place, what might be the repurcussions?

Any idea how many people will leave because of the mandate in place in MN.

More than 11,000 employees of Boeing are seeking an exemption to vaccine mandates on religious or medical grounds, representing nearly 9% of its US workforce, according to a new Reuters report, citing people familiar with the matter.

Attrition is already through the roof. 3M is finished when they lose another 20% who dont want the clot shot.

In my little slice of the company I'm seeing a theoretical 10 percent refusal rate, but have no idea how general that percentage is. Theoretical still because I don't know how many of those will get exemptions approved or actually face termination if it came down to it.

3M sent a note to to US staff diplomatically saying that if you are at a fed. contractor site, including St. Paul, and are not vaccinated or have a fully approved exemption on December 8, don't show up at work on the 9th. Even people who would still be waiting for exemption approval on the 8th would be on vacation or unpaid leave starting December 9 until the exemption is decided.

Does anyone know how religious exemptions are being decided? Guidelines? any specific sects being used as examples? I figure medical exemptions in comparison relatively simple to approve or deny.
