So, a good point to highlight. Having Astro/SME status does not guarantee over the long term you can continue working remotely. You probably have 1-2 years, MAYBE, but you also know Frank thinks remote workers are losers. After they squeeze whatever knowledge they can from you in your little remote office, be prepared to do whatever they think is best or GTFO. It's very black and white because numbers...

This feels very subjective but clearly isn’t something that applies to me, so I won’t worry about it. Again thank you all for the feedback
And, I'll add that most of the people who are deemed Astronauts do not have an office in their city to which they could potentially commute. But let's face it, management can give this status to anyone who they believe is an intellectual flight risk.
