It'll send a message so you'd have achieved something rather than when being fired AND it'll mean fewer layoffs for the rest of us.

All this management is concerned about is reducing employee cost at any price. They don't care if someone quits. The only reason to quit is that you've found an alternative you're happy with - new job, retirement, whatever. Quit for you, not for any other reason.
@OP+1dI1iXba sorry, but I can't quite see the logic behind your post. TR management likely won't see any message in someone quitting. They simply don't care! The nub of what you really want to say, ie "AND it'll mean fewer layoffs for the rest of us", says it all. Nice one. "I'm alright, Jack!"
